THE FOREST OF DRIZZLING RAIN IMPROVED TRANSLATION
The Forest of Drizzling Rain is an RPG maker horror game created by Sanada Makoto. It was translated into English by Tosaki back in 2013. However, the improper grammar deterred many from playing this game, so I took it upon myself to revise it! (Note, the translation isn’t very bad at all! I only did this because I have seen people skip this game solely because of the improper English) I changed EVERY script/interaction over the last 2 days, so hopefully the game is easier to read.
Here are the download links~
Original (Japanese)
Tosaki’s English Translation
My Revised Translation
In order to run the game, you MUST have RPG Maker! You can download the free trial instead of purchasing the full RPG Maker, but the trial will only be active for 30 days! The game will work once your free trial ends though! You just cannot use RPG maker to create new games once the trail runs out!
My link will take you to my dropbox. Right-click the folder to download the zip file or go to the top right corner, click the “…” button, and click “download as .zip” depending on your browser. Once the download has finished, extract the files. Then run the game.exe file. If you are using Chrome, it may stop the download because it is “malicious”. I am currently working to fix this, but for now, you must go into your browser settings, go to privacy, and disable your malware/phishing protection temporarily. I will post when I find a solution!
Please let me know if it does not work ASAP, as I’m using the RPG maker free trial and only have 29 days left. Please give all credit for this game to Sanada Makoto for the creation of this game, and also give credit to Tosaki for the original English Translation! If you enjoyed this game, please reblog to let others try it! There are 5 different endings, so try to get them all!
Under the cut are the triggers for this game and their locations!

Triggers include mild body horror, blood, gore (descriptive), and heavily implied rape/sexual abuse. There are NO JUMPSCARES in this game.
The body horror only goes to this extent (the monsters in the lower half of the image). There are times when (almost) the whole screen will be full of them.

After entering the forest here

There is a constant warning for body horror, blood, and gore. The gore is only described when interacting with the environment, but there are blood stains and streaks throughout the rest of the game from this point out.
Once you enter the door on the left

you are taken to a room with an unavoidable encounter with the monsters/children above vaguely describing their sexual abuse/rape encounters, and how some of them “gave birth”. They say this with big, red words covering the screen.
—
In this room, there is writing on the stool above the skeleton. If you interact with the stool, it implies “a deed most foul” (rape)

—
In order to advance the story, you must read all of the stories in this room

These stories tell the history of the Kotori-Obake, and (I believe) all of them imply that she was sexual abused as a punishment for something that she/her husband had done.
—
This is one of the last rooms you enter (maybe THE last one depending on which ending you get)

In order to get certain endings, you MUST read the papers scattered in this room. Sexual Slavery and Rape are implied in almost all of them.
—
There is only 1 chase scene in the game, and it is a simple run from right to left.
—
There may be more that I cannot recall, so please be wary throughout the game. If you find something that I have not mentioned, please let me know and I will include it on this list!
